The Campbell Collaboration will, with the support of the Netherlands Ministry for Foreign Affairs, provide bursaries for up to ten participants who are nationals of, and working or studying in, sub Saharan Africa. Employees of international organizations are not eligible. Students studying overseas are not eligible.
This support will cover the summit fee and, where required, economy airfare and hotel. No per diem will paid, and additional costs, e.g. visa, have to be paid by the participant or their employer.
The cover letter should state: (1) current employment, (2) any work you do with evidence synthesis, (3) how you would benefit from participation in the summit, and (4) what you can do to share the lessons learned at the summit with colleagues. If you have submitted a proposal to present at GES please include a copy with your bursary application.
In order to maximize the number of people who can attend the Summit under this bursary programme at least two places will be awarded to residents of Cape Town not needing travel support or accommodation. Preference will also be given to those in can make their own accommodation arrangements at not cost to Campbell.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 9th May, 2017.
Successful applicants will be contacted by email. They will be required to return the Campbell travel information form. Failure to do so, or to confirm the bursary offered, within 72 hours of receipt will result in cancellation of the bursary.
