Scope and aims

The Campbell Methods Series (ISSN: 2535-2466) supports the production of high quality systematic reviews by providing a policy and guidance on methods to authors and editors, as well as space for discussion of new and emerging methods. Policy Notes and Guides are commissioned by the Campbell Methods Group. Discussion Papers may be submitted for consideration.

The three sub-series:

Methods policy notes (ISSN: 2535-2474)
Campbell Collaboration policy on specific methods for use in Campbell systematic reviews of intervention effects

  1. Network meta-analysis
  2. Synthesising bivariate and partial effect sizes
  3. Converting between effect sizes
  4. Funnel of Attrition (forthcoming)
  5. Assessing Risk of Bias or Methodological Quality (forthcoming)
  6. Handling Dependency Between Outcomes from the Same Study in Statistical Analyses (forthcoming)
  7. Bayesian Meta-Analysis (forthcoming)

Methods guides (ISSN: 2535-2482)
Guides on how to implement specific systematic review methods

  1. Information retrieval methods

Methods discussion papers (ISSN: 2535-2490)
New or innovative ideas currently in development in the field of methodology
These papers are intended for discussion and do not represent official policy or guidance.

  1. Effect sizes for single-case designs
  2. The use of weak informative priors for estimating between-study variances in Bayesian meta-analysis (forthcoming)
